Connecting to the Spirit of the Land And Dreaming with Ancient Trees

About Forest

Lachlan, known as Forest, has been a member of the Morning Star Lodge for over 20 years. Having completed his Journeyor training with Arwyn DreamWalker, he dedicates his teaching to helping people connect more deeply with the Land. Going out onto the Land and engaging in a respectful way with the Spirits and Guardians there, this could be seen as one of the primary roles of the Shamanic Path.

Forest helps people learn how best to uncover their own gifts and dedicate these in service of the land. He incorporates exercises brought from his twenty years of Martial Arts experience and from being a Cranial Sacral Therapist and uses these to assist people in their journey to deepen and connect with the Beauty of the Land we live upon.

About Crom Estate

The Crom Estate is a nature reserve located in the south of County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, along the shores of upper Lough Erne. Crom is home to some of the oldest Yew trees in Ireland, and possibly Europe.

The trees are reputed to be more than 800 years old. The 2000 acre demesne contains ancient woodland, tranquil lakes, estate cottages and Old Crom Castle all linked by a breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Crom is one of Irelands most important nature conservation areas; wild deer, pine marten and many rare species including butterflies can all be found on the estate.

Also inhabiting the surrounding area are all eight species of native bats and an outstanding array of rare lichens.

You can discover more about Crom on the National Trust website:
