Aisling Eala Swan Dance Ceremony

‘The days of sorrow are ended,
The exile is over,

The children return in all their beauty
Out of the deep dark days of forgetting,
They encircle me with their wings
And my heart is full of hope’

Aisling Eala Autumn 2018

As the Wheel of the Year turns, we invite you to the Autumn Equinox Aisling Eala.
This is a one-day shamanic ceremonial dance to reconnect with the enlightened
energy of the Swan, the holder of sovereignty and ancestral memory in our mythos.
We dance to create pathways of beauty and heart to strengthen ourselves as a
people.

This equinox offers us the opportunity to step through to a new template of balance,
a place of opportunity. The Aisling Eala is our Swan Dance, our time to come
together in honouring of the Swan Peoples, renewing our bonding with the land of
Éiriú, the dance this land has with the constellation of Cygnus, and our sovereignty.
At the spring equinox we danced in Hope and Beauty, reminding ourselves of who
we are and what we hold here on the land. This has been a time of listening and

remembering ourselves and our history; compassion rising as we hear the long-
hidden stories of oppression, suffering and fear.

Our intent with this dance is that we may come, brothers and sisters together,
honouring ourselves as we dance as the Sacred Masculine and Feminine, reclaiming
that balance, weaving ourselves yet again as noble children of earth and star,
We invite you to join us as we dance this intent step by step into the land, dancing
for ourselves, our families and communities and for the generations to come.
The dance takes place on Sunday 23rd September.

We will dance outdoors for the day, our moving prayer circle centred around a sacred
oak tree. Participants can dance the prayers of their own heart, for Eiriu, and beyond.
No previous experience is necessary, but some advance preparation is required.
